Sten Govaerts

Sten Govaerts is a seasoned software developer and technology expert with extensive experience in both leadership and research roles. Currently serving as a Senior Developer at Statik since August 2017, Sten also founded Alpha 60, a company specializing in software development and photography. Previous positions include Technical Lead and Co-founder at TrueJobs, Technical Lead at GEO Solutions, and post-doctoral researcher at EPFL and KU Leuven. Sten's academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Computer Science from KU Leuven and additional studies in usability design, as well as language studies in Chinese and Japanese. Proficient in both front-end and back-end design, Sten demonstrates expertise in usability and visualizations using programming languages such as Java, Python, and JavaScript.
