Michael Willox

Michael Willox is a Senior Research Economist at Statistics Canada, specializing in micro and macroeconomic topics with a focus on business productivity and environmental policy. They have a robust background in econometrics and have contributed to the development of business performance tools to aid both businesses and government agencies. With prior experience as an Economist at multiple Canadian government departments, including Finance Canada and Environment and Climate Change Canada, Michael has also engaged in significant research related to the impacts of COVID-19 and the fluctuation of commodity prices on the Canadian economy. Michael holds a Master's in Economics from McGill University and dual Bachelor's degrees in Political Science and Economics from the University of Regina.
