Simon Dessureault is Unit Lead & Senior Economist at Statistics Canada's Centre for Special Business Projects. They previously served as a Senior Policy Analyst at Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada and held roles in the food processing industry, including Business Development Director at Maison Orphée and Retail Sales and Marketing Manager at Fruit d’Or. Simon earned a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Agricultural Economics, receiving the 2007 Applebaum Award for outstanding thesis work. They have also contributed to the Canadian Agricultural Economics Society and the Grocery Trade Review over the years.
