Karin Hedman

Karin Hedman is an experienced communications professional currently serving as Kommunikationschef at SCB (Statistiska centralbyrån) since August 2023. Previously, Karin held the title of Kommunikationschef och chef för kommunikationsavdelningen at Skolverket from October 2017 to August 2023, overseeing a department of over 80 employees. Karin has also worked as Avdelningschef för utveckling och samordning at Utbildningsförvaltningen in Stockholm, and held various leadership positions at Sveriges Riksdag and Regeringskansliet, focusing on information management and digital communication. With an academic background that includes a degree in Digital Transformation from Stockholm School of Economics and extensive training in strategic change and journalism, Karin combines expertise in both communication and organizational development.
