Guy Nicholson has extensive experience in grid management and renewable energy integration. Currently serving as Grid Manager at Statkraft since September 2018, Nicholson focuses on connecting and integrating renewable sources into grids to reduce reliance on fossil and nuclear energy. Previously, as Grid Manager at Element Power from May 2013 to October 2018, Nicholson supported development teams across Europe with grid connections and technical advice, notably contributing to the Greenwire project in Ireland. Earlier roles include advising on grid and renewables strategy at Senergy, heading grid initiatives at RenewableUK, and founding Econnect Ltd, which specialized in renewable energy grid connections. Nicholson also served as Managing Director of Econnect Ventures, developing SmartGrid products. Beginning as Head Electrical Engineer at EcoGen, Nicholson's educational background includes a BSc in Engineering from Newcastle University.
