Jan Schelling is an experienced professional in the energy sector, currently serving as the Head of Cost of Energy for Solar, Wind, and Batteries at Statkraft since October 2011, having also held the roles of Cost of Energy Manager and Senior Technology Advisor within the company. Prior to this, Jan worked at Norsk Hydro as a Senior Technology Manager for Solar, overseeing business development and acting as an account manager for Ascent Solar. Additional experience includes serving as Technology Director for Hydro Technology Ventures, where technical assessments of cleantech companies were conducted, and as a Research Engineer at Norsk Hydro's R&D Centre, managing diverse technology projects related to magnesium production, carbon capture, hydrogen energy, and wind energy. Jan completed a PhD in Chemical Engineering at ETH Zürich and holds a degree from Hamburg University of Technology, as well as a business education from Harvard Business School.
