Jonathan Brown

Jonathan Brown is an experienced professional in the renewable energy sector, currently serving as Head of US Renewables at Statkraft since June 2019. Prior to this role, Jonathan worked at Avangrid Renewables from February 2016 to May 2019, where responsibilities included REC trading and providing essential renewable market analysis to support various teams. Jonathan developed a comprehensive fundamental REC model for all US markets and prepared long-term price forecasts. Earlier in Jonathan's career, from December 2005 to January 2016, expertise was demonstrated as an Environmental Markets Broker at Marex Spectron, where Jonathan was instrumental in establishing the North American Environmental Desk and assisting companies with renewable energy compliance. Jonathan holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration and Management from Eastern Washington University, earned between 2001 and 2005.
