Mark Darbyshire

Mark Darbyshire is a seasoned professional in data design and analysis, currently serving as a Senior Data Design Analyst at Stats NZ since June 2013, focusing on construction, property, and prices. Mark has held various roles, including Enterprise Product Owner for the Analytic Environment and Manager for the Transformation of Household Surveys, where responsibilities included developing innovative methods and advocating for best practices in computer programming. In addition to a robust career at Stats NZ, Mark is actively involved in the community as Branch Chair at BCCG, a Justice of the Peace for the Canterbury Justices of the Peace Association, and holds leadership positions in several organizations, including Chair of the Atlas Quarter Body Corporate and The Muse Community Music Trust. Mark co-founded The Sensationalist and previously served as an usher at Little Andromeda. Educational qualifications include a BA (Hons) and BA in Linguistics, along with a Certificate in Computer Science, all from the University of Canterbury.
