Tom Yang

Tom Yang is an experienced security consultant currently employed at Stats NZ since January 2020, specializing in security architecture planning and vulnerability management using tools such as Qualys, MS Sentinel, and IBM QRadar. Prior to this role, Tom volunteered at Communicare CMA, assisting elderly and disabled individuals, and served as an IT intern at Airedale Property Trust. Tom's extensive background includes over a decade as a Senior Security Engineer at the Land Bank of Taiwan, where security architecture planning and threat response were key responsibilities, as well as roles in network engineering and programming at various financial institutions. Tom holds a Graduate Diploma in IT from the Cornell Institute of Business and Technology and advanced degrees in Information Management from Huafan University and Lunghwa University of Science and Technology, alongside an Associate’s Degree in Electronic Engineering.
