Andy Chambers has a strong background in software engineering and leadership roles. Andy is currently a Senior Software Engineer at StatsBomb since December 2022. Prior to that, they worked at High Quality Systems as a Director from January 2020 to December 2022.
Before their role at High Quality Systems, Andy was a Senior Software Engineer at Funding Circle UK from January 2017 to February 2020. In this role, they identified and executed strategic projects, developed and directed the open source project "jackdaw," and migrated Funding Circle's UK platform to AWS.
From March 2015 to January 2017, Andy worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Funding Circle USA. During their time there, they served as a tech-lead, managing on-site and remote teams, helping design user-friendly features, and gaining expertise in building distributed systems.
Andy's experience also includes working as a Software Engineer at PayPal from November 2012 to February 2015, at Managed Care of North America from February 2011 to November 2012, at Formedix from February 2007 to November 2011, and at Canongate Technology from September 2006 to February 2007. Andy started their career as a Software Developer at Airpoint Ltd from January 2005 to August 2006.
Throughout their career, Andy has taken on various responsibilities such as developing and directing open source projects, leading teams, migrating platforms, designing and implementing database solutions, and working with stakeholders to create specifications for digital forms.
Andy Chambers completed their MA in Economics at the University of Glasgow from 1999 to 2003. Later, they pursued an MSc in Information Technology from the same university in 2003 to 2004.
