Drilon Avdiu

Drilon Avdiu has a diverse range of work experience in the fields of project leadership, technical leadership, data science consulting, machine learning consulting, research assistance, data science, machine learning engineering, software engineering, and software engineering internships. Their most recent position is as a Project Lead at statworx, where they currently work. Prior to that, they held roles as a Technical Lead and Data Science Consultant at the same company. In 2020, Drilon Avdiu co-founded a company as the CTO, but unfortunately, the project was discontinued due to lack of funding. Drilon also worked as a Machine Learning Consultant for a remote project in the same year. In 2019, they worked as a Research Assistant at Fraunhofer IGCV, focusing on developing deep-learning models for anomaly detection. Before that, Drilon Avdiu was a Data Scientist at ELIA, where they utilized natural language processing and machine learning techniques for language learning. Drilon also has experience as a Machine Learning Engineer at DIOSNA Dierks & Söhne GmbH, where they improved dough production processes using machine learning. In 2016, they worked as a Software Engineer at ULDUO and as a Software Engineering Intern at the Ministry of Economy and Finance in the Government of Rep. Of Kosova, where they developed a software system for digitizing the process of access authorization in customs. Overall, Drilon Avdiu has gained expertise in various areas of data science, machine learning, and software engineering through their diverse work experiences.

Drilon Avdiu has a Master's degree in Computer Science from the Technical University of Munich, which was obtained in 2020. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Universiteti i Prishtinës "Hasan Prishtina" in 2016. Drilon also holds additional certifications, including a Pearson BTEC Level 5 in Management and Leadership obtained from Pearson in June 2016, and a Certificate of Specialization in Airport Management obtained from Boğaziçi University in January 2016.
