Stavropoulou Architects believe that through innovative, sustainable design, that is not dominated by fashion, architecture has the power to improve our environment, our lives and consequently our future. 

Our practice’s design portfolio includes work in the sectors of private residences, hospitality, visitable wineries, interior design and installations, in Greece and abroad. 

We address bioclimatic concerns and sustainability in the course of the design process in a way that does not limit the imagination but on the contrary contributes to the architectural inspiration. We emphasize the application of bioclimatic principles and strategies allowing a holistic approach whose main goal is to implement the brief in the most sustainable way possible.

The coexistence of different scales is a constant in our work. In each project the design process is never linear; it involves working simultaneously on different scales, diving into architectural details while still working on the concept  phase in order to ensure integrity of the design. We also make the most of physical models and one-to-one scale mock-ups to verify the proposed concept.

We aim for a close collaboration with the client, from the beginning of the project till the completion of the total design process in order to ensure that the best solution is adopted for the particular context. The practice’s long experience in all stages of design and construction ensures that we team up with the most competent and specialized external collaborators to satisfy the specific requirements of the project.  

The main architectural challenge for our practice is to always carry out extensive technical and aesthetic research that leads to a cost- and resource- effective realization. And so, to create an innovative, inspiring, and poetical space for producing, working, and living.
