Mara Ohrt

Mara Ohrt has a diverse work experience in the field of public health and healthcare technology. Mara started their career in 2004 at the Minnesota Department of Health as a Foodborne Disease Unit Paraprofessional Senior. Mara then moved to Public Health – Seattle & King County, where they worked as a Disease Intervention Specialist from 2005 to 2007 and as an Epidemiologist from 2008 to 2009. In 2009, they joined the State of Alaska, DHSS, Division of Public Health (DPH) as a Health Program Manager, where they worked until 2011. Since 2011, they have been working at Scientific Technologies Corporation, first as a Quality Assurance HL7 Analyst and currently as a Product Owner.

Mara Ohrt obtained their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biology from the University of Michigan, where they attended from 1999 to 2003. Following this, they pursued a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree with a specialization in Epidemiology at the University of Minnesota School of Public Health, from 2003 to 2005.
