Stephen Melagrano

Stephen Melagrano has extensive experience in the field of animation. Stephen started their career as an Animation Intern at Pixar Animation Studios in 2007. From there, they worked as a Character Animator at Blue Sky Studios and Reel FX in 2007 and as a Character Animator at DreamWorks Animation from 2008 to 2013. Stephen then joined Sony Pictures Imageworks as a Senior Character Animator in 2013 and again in 2014. In 2014, they also worked as a CG Animator at LAIKA, LLC. Stephen briefly worked as a Cinematics Animator at Blizzard Entertainment before joining Sony Pictures Imageworks again in 2014 as a Senior Character Animator. In 2010, they took on a role as an Instructor at iAnimate.net. Most recently, Stephen served as the Head of Animation at Steamroller Animation starting in March 2022, where they previously held the position of Senior Animator/Lead Animator since July 2016.

Stephen Melagrano attended The Art Institutes from 1999 to 2002, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Media Arts and Animation. Stephen later pursued Advanced Studies in Character Animation at AnimationMentor.com from 2006 to 2008.
