Michael Held

Michael Held currently serves as Vice President of Design at Steelcase, leading global design initiatives across various categories and brands. With extensive experience in design leadership, Michael previously directed design efforts in the furniture category and played a key role in engineering and project management across the Asia Pacific region. Michael co-founded RENNSALON, a non-profit organization that combines graphic, media, event, and product design, and has contributed to international art and design events. Additionally, Michael has held advisory roles in design events and served as a guest lecturer at renowned universities. Prior roles include Director of Design Management at Philips Design, where responsibilities encompassed product and interaction design, and industrial design positions at ASUS and greutmann bolzern designstudio. Michael holds an Executive Master's in Design Culture from ZHdK and a Diplom in Industrial Design from Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences.
