Tom Halmi

Tom Halmi, P.E., M.ASCE, is a Principal Engineer at Steelcase since 1995, where responsibilities encompass facility engineering, maintenance, building management, and project management, with a focus on energy conservation. Previous roles at Steelcase include Senior Facilities Engineer, Supply Chain Leader, and Lean Manufacturing Team Leader, where Tom contributed to various manufacturing and engineering initiatives. Prior to Steelcase, Tom managed the Civil Design Group at EARTH TECHNOLOGY CORP USA and served as a Project Engineer at Durgin Schofield. Tom began a career in the US Navy as a Lieutenant in the Civil Engineer Corps, where significant achievements included developing a computerized maintenance management system. Tom holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Michigan State University.
