Founded in 1968, Steele Foundation, LLC is an award-winning design-build foundation construction contractor serving the Washington, DC metropolitan area. We are one of the few firms in the region specializing in engineered foundation construction for general contractors, architects, engineers, developers and building owners tackling complex projects with deep foundation challenges.

Foundation construction is inherently hazardous, as dealing with difficult ground conditions is one of the riskiest parts of any project. Our team of highly trained, licensed, and experienced professionals designs and implements excavation support and shoring systems for underground basements and parking facilities.

Steele’s union workforce includes many long-time employees, averaging 20 years in the industry. Our engineers and craftsmen take pride in working closely with project teams to deliver cost-effective, safe, and innovative solutions for the DC community. To date, we have successfully completed nearly 1,800 projects, primarily in the Washington-Baltimore metropolitan area.
