David Clare has extensive work experience in mechanical design and engineering. Their most recent role is as a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer at Steeper, starting in February 2022. Prior to that, they worked at CMR Surgical as a Senior Mechanical Engineer from January 2020 to December 2021.
Before joining CMR Surgical, David worked at SharkNinja, where they held multiple roles. From April 2017 to November 2019, they were a Senior Design Engineer in the Advanced Development team, responsible for integrating new knowledge and presenting new product concepts. From September 2015 to March 2017, they served as a Product Design Engineer, focusing on creating and testing initial prototypes and innovating new solutions in the floorcare industry.
In 2014, David gained experience as a Placement Student at Airbus, working in the landing gear physical modelling team and improving programming and modeling skills.
Earlier in their career, David worked as a Consultant at The Technology Partnership from July 2012 to July 2013. David also served as an Assistant Project Engineer at Technical Fibre Products from August 2009 to July 2010, where they were involved in specifying and coordinating plant installation and designing integrated systems.
David Clare's education history begins in 2002 when they attended Kirkbie Kendal School. David studied A levels and took courses in 3D Design, Maths, Physics, and Chemistry until 2009. After completing their secondary education, David Clare enrolled at the University of Bath in 2010. David pursued a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, which they successfully obtained in 2015. In the same year, David Clare also participated in the Innovation Scholarship program at the University of Bath.
