Sean McKenzie has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Sean began their career in 2018 with roles at The Corcoran Group and REBNY, where they worked as a Senior Agent and Co-Team Lead. In the same year, they also served as Co-Chair of the Advisory Council for the Fund for Public Housing and participated in the gBETA Musictech Accelerator at Capitol Records. In 2017, Sean co-founded Steereo, a platform that provides artists with exposure through rideshare services, and they held various positions within the company, including Co-Founder, Head of Business Development, and Director of Driver Engagement. In 2020, they joined Compass as a Senior Agent and Co-Team Lead. In 2021, Sean co-founded NY for Social & Economic Equity (NYSEE), focusing on wealth empowerment for Black Americans and the African diaspora. In 2022, they became a Cohort Member at The Bronx Cannabis Hub, where they aimed to increase economic opportunities in the cannabis industry. Most recently, in 2023, Sean became a Member of the New York CAURD Coalition.
Sean McKenzie attended SUNY Ulster from 2003 to 2004, where they studied Business Administration and Management, General. Sean then enrolled at SUNY Empire State College from 2011 to 2012 and pursued a similar field of study. Additionally, in July 2009, Sean obtained certification in the FastTrac NewVenture Program from the NYC Department of Small Business Services.
