John D'Alessio

John D'Alessio has a diverse work experience in the steel and metallurgical field. John worked as the Director of Process Technology at STELCO - The Steel Company of Canada starting in May 2017. Prior to that, they held several roles at U. S. Steel Canada Inc., including Director of Process & Technology Excellence from July 2011 to May 2017 and Manager of Blast Furnace Engineering & Technology from June 2008 to July 2011. Before joining U. S. Steel Canada Inc., John worked at Stelco as a Metallurgist Specialist from March 2000 to June 2008. Their earlier experience includes working as a Project Engineer at FALCONBRIDGE LTD, Kidd Creek Metallurcical Operations from March 1998 to March 2000, and as a Metallurgist at FALCONBRIDGE LTD, Metallurgical Technology Center from August 1995 to March 1998.

John D'Alessio completed their Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in Materials Science and Engineering from McMaster University from 1988 to 1993. John then pursued their Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) in the same field at McMaster University from 1993 to 1996.
