Craig Learoyd

Sr. RF Engineer at Stellant

Craig Learoyd has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of RF engineering. Craig began their career as an Associate Engineer at Magnavox Government Electronics, where they fabricated and tested RF circuitry for SATCOM shipboard telephone transceivers and GPS survey equipment. Craig also designed production test fixtures and procedures utilizing automated test equipment.

Following their time at Magnavox, Craig joined Leica Geosystems, Inc. as an RF Engineer. Here, they were involved in the design and development of L-band spread-spectrum GPS receiver circuitry for survey and navigation equipment. Craig utilized software tools such as PSpice, Concept, Allegro, Accel, and Superstar, and also developed programs for automated engineering test systems.

After their tenure at Leica Geosystems, Craig joined Raytheon Systems Co. as a Systems Engineer. Craig focused on designing high anti-jam GPS receiver circuitry for Tomahawk missile guidance systems. Craig also worked on the development of parallel tracking receivers using multiple antenna arrays for antenna beam steering.

Craig then joined KOR Electronics as an RF Design Engineer, where they designed broadband RF and microwave circuitry for RADAR target and environment simulators, as well as DRFM (digital RF memories). Craig'sresponsibilities included designing block converters utilizing amplifiers, filters, and I/Q modulators/mixers.

Following their time at KOR Electronics, Craig worked at Endwave Corporation as a Senior Engineer. Craig continued their RF engineering work, contributing to the company's projects and initiatives.

In 2009, Craig joined Microsemi as a Senior Engineer, where they were in charge of the components product line. Craig was responsible for amplifiers, up/down converters, multipliers, as well as legacy JCA and ALC Microwave products.

Craig then joined L3Harris Technologies as a Senior Staff Engineer in 2010, where they stayed until 2019. Craig contributed to various projects and responsibilities as part of their role.

In 2019, Craig joined Northrop Grumman as a Senior Principal RF Engineer. Craig worked on the company's RF engineering projects until 2021.

Most recently, Craig joined Stellant Systems, Inc. as a Senior RF Engineer in 2021, where they continue to utilize their expertise and contribute to the company's RF engineering endeavors.

Craig Learoyd attended California State University, Long Beach from 1994 to 1998, where they pursued a BSEE degree with a focus on analog electronics.
