Francesco Levi is a PhD Mechanical Engineer and currently serves as the Chief Vehicle Engineer at Stellantis, overseeing the Jeep Compass and coordinating global efforts across various regions. Francesco’s career began in R&D at Fiat Powertrain, where they focused on structural analysis and optimization of diesel engines. In 2014, Francesco transitioned to FCA as an Application Manager, gaining extensive experience in calibration management for diesel engines. From 2018 until 2024, they led a global development team as Propulsion System Chief Engineer, successfully launching multiple hybrid vehicle projects, including the award-winning Alfa Romeo Tonale and Dodge Hornet. Francesco’s educational background includes a PhD and a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Politecnico di Milano.
