John Gibson

John Gibson is a highly motivated and results-driven professional with more than 28 years of experience in automotive product development, specializing in propulsion batteries. Currently, they serve as the Global Head of Chief Engineering for Pickup/Truck & DEF Segment Propulsion Batteries, overseeing the design, development, and manufacturing of high voltage battery systems. Prior to this role, they contributed to the development of three consecutive Ward’s 10 Best Propulsion Systems for the Fiat 500e, Pacifica Hybrid, and Jeep Wrangler 4xe. Their previous positions include leadership roles at several notable companies, such as Chrysler Group LLC and Stellantis, where they honed their skills in project management and engineering. John holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan State University, with a focus on thermodynamics and heat transfer.
