Uma Arun is a highly accomplished technical leader with extensive expertise in artificial intelligence and speech technologies. Currently serving as Manager of AI Cockpit Personalization Prediction and Technical Fellow at Stellantis since January 2022, Uma previously held a similar role at FCA Fiat Chrysler Automobiles from September 2012 to March 2022, focusing on global consultation in artificial intelligence and speech technologies. With 12+ patents, Uma has driven numerous innovative projects, including the implementation of speech recognition in UConnect infotainment systems. Earlier experience includes a speech recognition specialist role at General Motors - OnStar, and voice project management at Visteon, with a strong background in various automotive OEM speech projects. Uma holds an MBA in Strategic Management and Risk Analysis from Indiana University and a Master’s in Computer Science from Texas A&M University.
