Peter Taras has over 19 years of work experience in the content and media industry. In 2021, they began working as the Lead Content Manager & Content Marketing Integration Strategist for Steller. From 2014-2021, they were the Director of Integrated/Editorial Media for Surfer Magazine, where they were responsible for 10+ years of content strategy for website, YouTube, newsletter, and social media. During this time, they were also the strategy lead for 50+ integrated product campaigns annually and grew the social network from 1.2 to 5.6 million across Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter. From 2008-2014, they were the Editorial Social Media Manager for Surfing Magazine, where they grew the social network from 1.2 to 4.5 million across Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter, and was responsible for ensuring successful outcomes of web development strategies by aligning consistent brand messaging and visual designs across all digital outlets. From 2002-2008, they were the Photo Editor for Transworld Surf, where they produced magazine photographic content including creative direction and photo selection for print media, organized shoots from planning, scheduling, and styling to post-production, and pitched content strategies and managed asset acquisition.

Peter Taras attended San Clemente High School from 1992 to 1996. Peter then went on to Saddleback College from 1997 to 2000, where they studied Psychology.
