Maher Hakim is an experienced ecosystem builder, educator, investor, advisor, and tech entrepreneur, currently living and working between the Bay Area and Doha. They served as the Executive Director of the CITRIS Foundry at UC Berkeley from 2019 to 2021 and have held various leadership roles in companies such as Autodesk, Neoforma, and Lawson Software. Currently, Maher serves as Chief Advisor for Innovation and Enterprise at the Qatar Research, Development and Innovation Council and is involved with multiple organizations in advisory and board member capacities. Maher holds a Ph.D. in Computer-Aided Engineering and Management from Carnegie Mellon University, along with undergraduate and master's degrees in engineering.
