STEM Birds is a multi-award-winning education provider dedicated to empowering young minds through engaging, hands-on learning in STEM: Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics.

Founded by engineer and educator Shalaka Ekbote, STEM Birds began with a simple mission: to make STEM education accessible, inclusive, and future-focused. Today, we’ve proudly taught over 8,000 students across Melbourne and Adelaide—preparing the next generation of problem-solvers, innovators, and critical thinkers.

We offer a wide range of programs including coding, robotics, AI, 3D printing, science labs, and more—designed for students aged 5 to 18. Our approach blends fun and creativity with real-world application, helping children build confidence and develop essential 21st-century skills.

We’re proud to have launched Melbourne’s first educational robot library, allowing students from all backgrounds to explore robotics without financial barriers. We also run national competitions, STEM clubs, and holiday programs that continue to inspire and challenge young learners.
