Mark Cooke

Principal Data Scientist at Stem

Mark Cooke has a strong background in data science and research. Mark has worked as a Senior Data Scientist and was later promoted to Principal Data Scientist at Stem, Inc. starting from 2016. Prior to that, they worked as a Post-doctoral researcher at Berkeley Lab from 2010 to 2016, where they focused on research related to the ATLAS experiment and managed the data acquisition system of the silicon pixel detector. Before that, Mark was a member of the ATLAS collaboration at CERN from 2006 to 2016. Mark'sresponsibilities included managing the data acquisition system of the silicon pixel sub-detector and leading a group of physicists analyzing data for new physics signals associated with the top quark.

Mark Cooke earned a Bachelor's degree in Physics and Applied Mathematics from the University of California, Berkeley, between 1998 and 2003. From 2004 to 2010, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Physics at Columbia University.
