Brendan Kao

Brendan Kao is the current Chief Product Officer at Stem. Prior to joining Stem, Brendan served as the Chief Product Officer at PeerStreet from March 2015 to November 2019. Before PeerStreet, Brendan was the Chief Product Officer at FlashFunders from September 2013 to March 2015. Brendan has also worked as a Product Management Consultant at Pivotal Labs from February 2013 to March 2014, and as the Director of Product Management at ZestFinance from May 2011 to February 2012. Brendan began their career as a Summer Associate at Latham & Watkins in May 2007, followed by an internship at Human Rights Watch in May 2006. Brendan then spent three years at Amazon as a Software Development Manager from July 2002 to August 2005.

Brendan Kao obtained a Masters of Engineering in Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, followed by a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science also from MIT. Brendan then went on to obtain their Juris Doctor from New York University.
