Alessia Roma, PhD, is a Scientific Inside Sales Representative for Immunology at STEMCELL Technologies, beginning in July 2023. Prior experience includes serving as a Project Manager at Guelph Food Innovation Centre from April 2022 to July 2023, where responsibilities involved managing a portfolio of over 30 projects and ensuring compliance with budget and regulations. Alessia was also a Sessional Lecturer at the University of Guelph from January 2022 to April 2022, instructing students in Functional Foods and Nutraceuticals, as well as Food Product Development. Prior to these roles, Alessia held the position of Associate Researcher at SP Nutraceuticals Inc. from January 2020 to February 2022, contributing to the launch of novel products and securing grant funding. Early research experience was gained as a Research Assistant at the University of Windsor from August 2012 to June 2015, studying the anti-cancer effects of natural health products. Alessia Roma holds a PhD in Food Science from the University of Guelph and a Bachelor of Arts and Science in Honors Biochemistry from the University of Windsor.
