Erik Hadley has over 20 years of work experience in various scientific research and technical roles. Erik started their career as a Research Assistant at Simon Fraser University, where they synthesized and analyzed materials for potential data storage applications. Erik then worked as a Research Assistant in the Neil Branda Lab, focusing on heterocycle synthesis and characterization.
Erik later joined the University of Wisconsin-Madison as a Research Assistant in the Sam Gellman Lab, where they conducted graduate research on small folded peptide model systems and developed synthetic protocols for peptide manipulation.
After completing their graduate studies, Erik worked at the Centre for Drug Research and Development as a Postdoctoral Fellow, specializing in the development of drug delivery systems for peptides and peptide-like molecules. Erik gained experience in design, preparation, and characterization of drug delivery systems, as well as project management skills through various research projects.
Currently, Erik is employed at STEMCELL Technologies, where they have held multiple positions. Erik started as a Scientist in the Research and Development Department, focusing on the development of tools and reagents for stem cell research. Erik progressed to the role of Senior Director, Process Development, and then to Senior Director, Technical Operations. Currently, Erik serves as the Vice President Technical Operations at STEMCELL Technologies.
Erik Hadley holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Chemistry from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, which they earned between 2003 and 2008. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry at Simon Fraser University from 1998 to 2003.
