Jie Wang

Jie Wang is a Process Development Scientist at STEMCELL Technologies since June 2022, focusing on scalable processes for human pluripotent stem cells to differentiate into hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells. Previously, Jie Wang served as a Postdoctoral Researcher at The University of British Columbia and a Postdoctoral Fellow with Industry at the University of Alberta, where collaboration with the startup Cvictus involved extensive research in bacterial protein production. In earlier roles, Jie Wang developed novel process systems, conducted analytical characterizations, mentored personnel on fermentation techniques, and contributed to biotechnology investment discussions. Jie Wang holds a PhD in Bioresource and Food Engineering from the University of Alberta and a Bachelor of Engineering in Food Quality and Safety from Northwest A&F University.
