Jon Okubo is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the field of cell culture and differentiation. Currently serving as a Senior Account Manager at STEMCELL Technologies since July 2018, Jon specializes in optimizing cell culture conditions and differentiation protocols for hPSC culture, neural, cardiomyocyte, and hematopoietic lineage differentiation. Prior roles include an Account Manager and Scientific Sales Representative at the same company, as well as Research Associate positions at Karl Willert Lab and Kelly Frazer Lab at UCSD, where Jon focused on differentiating stem cells for various applications. Jon also has a background in research from the Alysson Muotri Lab, developing cellular models related to ALS8, and began a clinical career with volunteer experience at Palomar Pomerado Health.
