Mandi Schmidt is an accomplished neuroscientist with extensive experience in scientific support at STEMCELL Technologies since November 2019, serving as a Scientist and Neural Scientific Support Specialist. Prior to this role, Mandi held a Ph.D. position at BC Children's Hospital Research Institute from September 2013 to October 2019, under the supervision of Dr. Michael Hayden, focusing on the dysregulation of excitatory synaptic function in Huntington's disease and exploring the neuroprotective potential of novel synaptic protein targets. Mandi earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Neuroscience from The University of British Columbia between 2013 and 2019, and a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a Biochemistry minor from the University of Waterloo from 2008 to 2013.
