Michael Hiatt

Michael Hiatt is an accomplished scientist with extensive experience in research and development, currently serving as a Senior Scientist at STEMCELL Technologies since May 2015. Prior to this, Hiatt held positions as a Sessional Instructor at Simon Fraser University and a CIRM Postdoctoral Fellow at Children's Hospital Of Los Angeles, where research focused on the distal lung's epithelial progenitor population. Hiatt's academic background includes a PhD in Experimental Medicine from The University of British Columbia, complemented by significant postdoctoral experience characterizing epithelial responses in kidney injury models. Additional roles at various research institutions include laboratory management and technical support, alongside a foundational education in Cellular and Molecular Biology from Simon Fraser University.
