Sabrina Smith

Sabrina Smith has a diverse work experience in the medical and laboratory services industry. Sabrina began their career as a Supervisor in the Microbiology department at BC Biomedical Laboratories Ltd., where they were responsible for managing the staff and overseeing laboratory equipment implementation and training. Sabrina later moved on to become an Operations Leader, overseeing 46 Specimen Collection Centres in the lower mainland.

Sabrina then joined LifeLabs Medical Laboratory Services as the Director of Client Services, where they led a large operational team and was accountable for overall business performance, including financial, regulatory, and safety aspects. Sabrina also held the role of Functional Lead for Integration during their time at LifeLabs.

Currently, Sabrina is working at STEMCELL Technologies as the Director of Quality Control, Operations. Prior to this, they held various roles within the company, including Associate Director and Senior Manager in the Quality Control Operations department. Sabrina also served as the Functional Lead for the Quality Module during a SAP implementation project.

Throughout their career, Sabrina has demonstrated strong leadership skills, managing large teams and ensuring the efficient operation of multiple facilities. Sabrina has a proven track record in regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and customer service.

Sabrina Smith completed a Certificate in Management Studies from Thompson Rivers University from 2007 to 2011. Prior to that, they obtained an R.T. degree in Laboratory Technologist from the British Columbia Institute of Technology from 1992 to 1994. Furthermore, Sabrina holds a BSc. degree in Biology from The University of British Columbia, completed between 1988 and 1992. In 2016, they pursued a Certified Demand Driven Leader (CDDL) qualification in Supply Chain Management from the International Supply Chain Education Alliance, and their studies in this field are ongoing.
