Silvia de Cicco

Silvia De Cicco is a Scientific Sales Representative at STEMCELL Technologies since October 2023, following a role as Senior Scientist I at AbbVie from September 2022 to September 2023. From January 2020 to August 2022, Silvia was a Postdoctoral Researcher at BioMed X Institute, focusing on myelination and its relation to Schizophrenia using iPSCs. Prior to that, from February 2015 to July 2019, Silvia completed a PhD at the Hertie Institute for Clinical Brain Research/DZNE, studying LRRK2’s connection to Parkinson’s disease. Silvia also held positions as a Research Fellow and Research Intern at OSR-TIGET, working on Metachromatic Leukodystrophy and related projects. Academic qualifications include a Dr. rer. Nat. in Cellular and Molecular Neuroscience from the Graduate Training Centre of Neuroscience, a Master of Science in Molecular and Cellular Medical Biotechnology, and a Bachelor in Medical and Pharmaceutical Biotechnology from Libera Università Vita-Salute San Raffaele.
