Step into Work (SIW) is a community-based program dedicated to helping women take confident steps toward meaningful paid employment. Whether returning to work after a break, entering the workforce for the first time, or navigating complex life transitions, SIW offers a supportive space to gain clarity, skills, and confidence.

Based in Sydney, Australia, and delivered in partnership with schools and local community organisations, the program is designed to be inclusive and accessible, especially for mothers of young children, women from migrant backgrounds, and those experiencing financial or social challenges.

Our five-week program (2.5 hours per session) is held during school terms and includes:

- Small group coaching (6–12 women) tailored to individual strengths and needs
- Step-by-step planning to identify career goals and pathways
- Practical job search tools: resume writing, applications, and interview skills
- Confidence-building techniques to manage stress, juggle family/work balance, and tap into personal networks
- Support to explore training and education options, including TAFE
