Maureen Higgins

Maureen Higgins has over 30 years of work experience in the biopharmaceutical industry. Maureen began their career in 1992 as a Clinical Operations/Project Manager for Inveresk Research, Syntex, and Roche. In 1995, they joined Quintiles as a Clinical Operations/Project Manager and Head of Clinical Operations (South Africa). From 2000 to 2002, they worked for CroMedica in various roles, including Director of Business Development and Director of Operations (South Africa & Israel). In 2002, they moved to Meditrial Ltd as Development Director. From 2003 to 2015, they worked for Ark Interims as a Biopharmaceutical Consultant. Maureen then joined Chiltern in 2015 as a Director of Project Management. In 2017, they moved to Precision for Medicine, Oncology & Rare Disease as VP of Project Management, Europe. Most recently, in 2022, they joined Step Pharma as VP, Head of Clinical Operations.

Maureen Higgins obtained their MBA from the University of Strathclyde between 1997 and 1998. Maureen then went on to earn their Ph.D in Molecular Developmental Genetics from The University of Edinburgh between 1987 and 1990. Prior to that, they obtained their B.Sc in Applied Biology from the University of the West of England between 1982 and 1986.
