Robert Chapman

Robert Chapman is a seasoned freelance musician with a diverse background in performance, sound design, and music education. Since 1993, Robert has performed solo and as part of various ensembles, including as a guitarist and co-songwriter for Rude Mechanicals, and has contributed to sound design for theatre and dance. Robert has held teaching positions at institutions such as Queensgate College, Step Teachers Ltd, BSix College, and Cambridge Regional College, where responsibilities included curriculum development, quality assurance, and action research. As a Development Officer at Sound Sense, Robert supported community musicians and engaged with external organizations. Robert holds a PhD in Electroacoustic Composition and a PGCE in Post Compulsory Education.
