Jamie Knowlton

Jamie Knowlton is a climate tech entrepreneur and investor. Jamie is currently the Head of Finance & Strategy at Step, a climate tech startup that is on a mission to make it easy for everyone to take action on climate change. Prior to joining Step, Jamie was an Investor in Residence at Elemental Excelerator, where they helped fund and support growth-stage companies working on innovative solutions to climate change. Jamie has also served as an Advisor at Blue Ocean Barns, a Mentor at Creative Destruction Lab, and a Partner at Steelhead Peak. Jamie co-founded Better Place Forests in 2015 and served as its Chief Financial Officer and Head of Partnerships & Product until 2020.

Jamie Knowlton holds a BSc in Civil Engineering from Queen's University, a BA in Economics from Queen's University, and an MSc in City Design and Social Science from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). Jamie is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) from the CFA Institute.
