Alex Willard

Alex Willard is an experienced engineering professional with a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Michigan State University. Currently serving as the Technical and Process Engineering Manager at Stepan Company since July 2014, Alex has overseen the safe design, construction, and start-up of a new Alkoxylation manufacturing plant, contributed to various engineering reviews, and led technical training for operators. Previously, Alex held roles such as Technical Production Manager and Production Engineer, showcasing expertise in managing production processes, conducting root cause failure analysis, and implementing cost reduction initiatives. Alex's earlier experience includes serving as a Process Engineer at Dow Corning, where contributions included planning scale-ups and process optimization, and as an R&D Intern at Colgate Palmolive, focusing on formulation development. Certifications include ASQ Six Sigma Black Belt and Dow Corning Green Belt.
