Stephen Lloyd Awards was created in memory of an inspirational lawyer who dedicated his working life to advising charities and social enterprises and pioneered significant developments in the sector.  

The Awards are an annual programme providing funding and support to early-stage projects that are forward-thinking, inspiring and creative in their solutions.

Bates Wells Foundation is the charity that manages the Awards.  The Foundation trustees are Stephanie Biden (Chair), Chetal Patel, Evelyn Smith, Jim Clifford OBE, Lorna Lloyd, Martin Bunch and Peter Bennett. Its charity number is 1150321.

The Awards programme is led by Mona Rahman, Bates Wells Foundation Projects Manager.
