Mike Preston

Mike Preston is a seasoned professional in economic development with extensive experience in leadership roles. Currently serving as Managing Director at Stephens since January 2023, Preston previously held the position of Executive Director at the Arkansas Economic Development Commission from April 2015 to February 2023, where significant accomplishments included overseeing a 130-person agency and a $100 million annual budget, as well as leading international business development missions and signing incentive agreements resulting in 16,000 jobs and $7 billion in capital investment. Prior to that, Preston served as Vice President of Government Relations at Enterprise Florida from 2008 to 2015, ensuring representation and funding for state economic development initiatives. Preston began a career in politics as a Legislative Assistant to Senator Steve Oelrich from 2006 to 2008. Academically, Preston holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from the University of Florida.
