Thomas SanGiovanni serves as the Director of Orthopedic Sports Foot & Ankle Surgery at Miami Orthopedics & Sports Medicine Institute since June 2014 and as Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors at Steps2Walk since December 2017. Previously, Thomas SanGiovanni held the position of Director of Orthopedic Sports Foot & Ankle Surgery at UHZ Sports Medicine Institute from June 2003 to June 2014. Thomas SanGiovanni's educational background includes a Doctor of Medicine degree from The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences, where studies were completed from 1988 to 1992, and a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology and Biology from Boston College from 1984 to 1988. Advanced training includes postgraduate degrees in multiple orthopedic and pediatric medicine specialties at Harvard Medical School and University of Miami Miller School of Medicine.

Steps2Walk, Inc. is a not for profit, humanitarian foot and ankle organization that performs surgical missions in developing countries to correct severe foot and ankle deformities in children and young adults. Our mission is to focus on underserved regions of the world, while simultaneously educating local orthopedic surgeons in various foot and ankle surgical treatments. We currently have a presence in 24 countries. We believe that surgeon education will ultimately translate into helping thousands of people worldwide. We give the gift of walking and have a vision of providing accessible foot and ankle care worldwide.
