Scott Kaplan

Scott Kaplan is currently serving as Senior Legal Counsel in Venture Capital and Growth Equity at StepStone Group, a position they have held since 2024. Prior to this role, Kaplan was a Corporate Associate at Gunderson Dettmer from 2021 to 2023, where they represented high-growth technology companies and venture capital firms. They also held a similar position at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP from 2019 to 2021, focusing on life sciences companies and private equity firms. Kaplan earned their J.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles - School of Law in 2019 and is currently pursuing a B.A. in History, cum laude, at the University of Nevada-Reno.
