Nelva Smith

Nelva Smith has extensive experience in labor and employment law, currently serving as a Member and Of Counsel at Steptoe & Johnson PLLC since September 2015. Key responsibilities include co-counseling on OSHA citation defenses, preparing for depositions, and conducting investigations for wage cases. Notably, Smith successfully contributed to defending a Supreme Court appeal related to workers’ compensation. Prior to joining Steptoe, Smith worked at Scott, Scriven & Wahoff, LLP from May 2005 to September 2015, holding both attorney and legal assistant roles. Smith holds a Juris Doctor degree from Capital University Law School and a Bachelor of Arts in Business Management from Capital University.
