Andrew Nelson

Andrew Nelson is an experienced professional in animal training and care, currently serving as a Team Leader at STERIS since August 2022. Prior roles include training and overseeing animal husbandry at the University of Minnesota and serving as a Warehouse Worker - Trainer at Target. Andrew's background encompasses significant responsibilities in science education as a Science Teacher at Eagle's View Academy, providing curriculum development and student oversight. With a foundational experience at SAIC as a Watch Section Supervisor and Animal Trainer, Andrew has a strong history of training marine mammals in open-water environments and developing staff training programs. Andrew holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Northwestern – St. Paul.
