Benjamin Yoder is an experienced optical engineer with a diverse background in optical design, particularly in the LED lighting industry. Currently serving as a Specialist Optical Engineer at STERIS since September 2018, Benjamin has streamlined optical modeling software workflows and led LED source selection for innovative surgical lighting products. Prior to this, roles at Current, powered by GE, and GE Lighting involved leading optical design and development efforts, where notable achievements included the creation of new platforms to enhance optical capability and the successful launch of multiple LED lamp programs. Benjamin holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Materials Science and Engineering from Case Western Reserve University, along with a Bachelor of Arts in Physics from Goshen College.
