Philippe Labrie

Philippe Labrie serves as the Scientific Director of R&D Research Engineering and Validation at STERIS Corporation since October 2011, overseeing services that support local and corporate new product development projects, including microbiology/chemistry laboratory operations and technical writing. Previously, Philippe held various roles at Omegachem from June 2006 to November 2011, culminating in the position of Senior Scientific Manager, where responsibilities included supervising chemists and coordinating scientific efforts for pharmaceutical clients, earning recognition with the 2010 AstraZeneca Award for excellence in organic chemistry. Philippe's earlier experiences include roles as a medicinal chemist at Asthmacure, an industrial coop student at MCR Research and Allelix Biopharmaceutical, and project work during a PhD tenure at Université Laval, complemented by extensive educational qualifications in medicinal chemistry and drug development from the same institution.
